I am Benjamin Loschen. SmartLemon is my independent practice. I build AI and automation, websites and apps, and growth operations for small businesses and founders. The person you talk to on the first call is the person who designs it, builds it, and hands it over.
I have founded a brand, led large delivery programs, and shipped my own software. Most people who build have done one of those. Doing all three is why I can work across the gap between an idea and something that scales.

Three jobs, one career.
I have run the business side.
I founded and ran a direct-to-consumer brand. I have lived the Monday spreadsheet, the ad account that disagrees with the store, and the launch that has to pay for itself. I build for owners because I have been one.
I have run the big programs.
I have led delivery for large software programs with many teams and real deadlines. That is where I learned to scope honestly, show progress early, and keep a project from quietly stalling.
I ship my own software.
I design and code products of my own, including lmn.bar, Tokentrail, and Archi. I write the code that goes to production, so nothing gets lost between the plan and the build.
How I work.
Start with the work, not the tool.
I sit with the people doing the job before I suggest anything. What you have, what belongs with what, and what somebody is actually trying to get done comes before any of it is built. The right first project is usually smaller than you expect.
Show it early, and label it honestly.
You get something real in your own hands while it is still obviously unfinished. You cannot give me useful notes if you are not sure what you are looking at.
Fixed scope, fixed price.
Every engagement has a price and a timeline written down before it starts. Two of the three first steps end in a written memo that is yours to keep whether you carry on or not.
Say no when it is a no.
If I am not the right fit, I will tell you on the first call and point you somewhere better.
Hand over everything.
Code, accounts, documentation, and a recorded walkthrough, in accounts with your name on them. There is a plain reason for doing it this way: if I am on vacation, you are not stuck.
Some of my work is not on this site.
Part of my work is done under confidentiality, and I keep it that way. Everything on the Work page is either my own product or shown with the client’s permission. I would treat your project the same.
